Realizing slowly this power, at first Shrirang feels more irritated and visits a Psychiatrist. While worshiping a Hindu goddess, Shrirang gets the divine power of reading the minds of women. To top on that, his female chauvinist boss always treats the male workers unfairly. Set in the backdrop of Mumbai chawl locales, the protagonist Shrirang(Sanjay Narvekar), has a good family and a decent job, but is always irritated by the act of women. But the story here has a completely different getup and the makeover is done well. No doubt about it that movie is inspired from Mel Gibson acted 'What Women Want'. As an incentive, he saves the city by foiling the plans of a would-be female terrorist. He is also able to solve some of their problems, making them happier than before. Being good at heart, he slowly starts using this understanding to improve his relationship with his wife, mother, grandmother, his boss and even his father. It helps him see their frustrations and dilemmas brought on by everyday life. From that point onwards, the insight into the female mind helps him understand the women around him. But soon, on being counselled by a female psychologist, he learns to look at his abilities as a gift instead of a curse. Once on a trip to his native village, he participates in an annual festival during which he discovers that he has now gained an ability to listen to women's thoughts. He feels they are in control of his life.
His frustration is particularly towards the women in his life - his wife, his mother and particularly his ever-angry boss. Shriranga Deshmukh (Ranga) is a frustrated man in life.
